Hello to all!

The relay race within the Pittsburgh Marathon is a special fundraising addition to our Espwa Foundation activities in Haiti. This will be my third year running this race.  Your gracious contributions will go toward often lifesaving needs in the Cap Haitien area of Haiti.  I had a mission trip to Haiti last June for the Espwa Foundation that made amazing progress in bringing relationships closer with our New Hope Hospital Medical Director, Pastor, Farming, Tour business and K-12 Christian School friends that was "Out-of-Sight" ground breaking.  Each of our very planned trips to Haiti have missions to empower our Haitian friends to bring their country hope, humility and God's grace.  We work along side our friends to help find them viable and sustainable jobs and businesses and give them support to help them grow in so many areas of their lives. In the process, I've grown as well to love and serve these beautiful friends!

Please support my efforts and those of my beloved Espwa Foundation!  Your "heart-bank" will grow as you give your dollars!  Your giving with your heart and soul to our "feet-on-the-ground" mission in Haiti as we run in this marathon is one of the best gestures you could do in the eyes of our wonderful God!  Many blessings!

Every year, the Pittsburgh Marathon draws over 25,000 runners and the city comes alive with excitement and activity.  The Espwa Foundation is proud to field another round of relay teams and individual runners this year. This is our third year participating as an organization, and this event has grown into one of our largest fundraisers. That's particularly exciting for us, because the more funds we raise each year, the more lives we can impact in Haiti.  We can't do this without our network of amazing supporters! 

The Espwa Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to impacting those in poverty in the Cap Haitien, Haiti region.  "Espwa" is the Haitian Creole word for "hope."  We believe it's all about relationships and that through long-term development, we can truly help our brothers and sisters in Haiti.  We don't just throw money at problems, or give handouts when they are not the appropriate type of intervention.  We assess situations, get to know those involved, and come up with strategies to achieve personal and professional growth.  In our project portfolio, we engage in medical relief by partnering with local physicians, and undertake development efforts across the spectrum: family support, farming, small business, pastoral support, and more.  Join our movement of hope in Haiti today!
