This October, I'm excited to travel back to Haiti to serve in a medical capacity with my friends and Haitian doctors, Dr. Maklin Eugene and Dr. Rodlin "Roro" Paul. On every medical trip, we always seem to have a severe shortage of children's vitamins and pre-natal vitamins for expecting/nursing mothers. Malnutrition is all-too-common in Haiti, and a large percentage of the patients I've seen there have struggled with the issue. Your donation will help me to purchase these vitamins and take them into country.  I'm also accepting donations of vitamins, so please contact me via the website 'Contact Us' option if you feel led to donate that way. The vitamins will have to be non-gummy as the hot and humid conditions in Haiti will cause the typical children's gummy vitamins to melt.

This October, a small team led by Jennifer Schmidt, Espwa's Medical Director, will serve in Cap Haitien, Haiti. The short trip is primarily a medical trip and will include visits to several Espwa projects.  Most notably, Jennifer will be serving as a provider at St. Anthony's Clinic with both Dr. Maklin Eugene and Dr. Rodlin "Roro" Paul during one of the days. This trip is one in a long series of relief efforts aimed at the larger goal of development of the small community surrounding St. Anthony's Clinic.
